Shirley Ann Whitely, 83, formerly of Wheelersburg passed away Tuesday June 1, 2021 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born March 21, 1938 in Paintsville, KY., a daughter of the late Charles Barker and Della Mae Pryor.
Shirley was of the Catholic Faith who loved to read, do puzzle books and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by a son, Roy Whitely Jr. of Greenup, KY; three daughters, Sherry Whitely Reid (Daniel) of Amisville, VA, Shelly Whitely Adams (Joe Cornwell) of Greenup, KY and Sharon Whitely Thacker (Chuck) of Flatwoods, KY; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Whitely Sr.; two brothers, Robert Reed and Charles Reed; four sisters, Delores, Louise, Betty and Mary Margaret.
