Stella Marie Otworth, age 59 of Franklin Furnace died Thursday morning November 26, 2009 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. She was born July 5, 1950 in Wheelersburg to Flossie Madden Messer and the late Arthur Messer. Stella was a craft maker who truly loved life and adored her family. In addition to her father, Stella was preceded in death by her husband Henry Otworth who died in 1990. She is survived by her Mother Flossie Messer of Franklin Furnace; one brother Dave (Rita) Messer of Franklin Furnace; her husband's children and grandchildren who called her "Mamaw"; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and special friends, Linda Taylor of Elyria, and Gary Graley of Franklin Furnace. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2009 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Dan Rapp officiating. Interment will follow in Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
