Age 94 of Portsmouth, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Heartland Nursing Center. She was born January 7, 1919, the daughter of George Franklin Gilliland and Mary Dice Gilliland, deceased. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Maynard, a brother, Warren Gilliland, sisters Helen Herrod and Margaret Crabtree, and a grandson, John Allen Beckett. She is survived by her children, Julie Miller, Kathi Maynard, Mark Maynard, David Maynard, Christopher Maynard, and Mary Moore. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and a first cousin, Annie Gilliland Bristow of Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada.
