Age 66, of Waterford, formerly of Wheelersburg, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at SOMC Hospice. He was born January 20, 1951 in Portsmouth to Donald and Frieda (McHone) Howard. A 1969 East High School graduate, Tom worked for 39 years as a service technician for Praxair Oxygen Company. In his spare time he enjoyed racing, fishing, and hunting.

He is survived by his son, Chris (Pam) Howard of Parkersburg, WV; brother, Randy (Shirley) Howard of Wheelersburg; sister, Carol Coburn of Ft. Pierce, FL, one grandchild who he was raising, Ivy Howard; six step-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Jo in 2014.

The family would like to thank SOMC Hospice for the excellent care they gave Tom.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville, with Pastor Chris Oiler officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call Friday January 19, 2018 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before the service on Saturday.
