Timberly "Denise" Martin, 69, of New Boston, passed away at her home on April 22, 2025. Born in Portsmouth on September 10, 1955, she was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas Piatt and Virginia Duncan. Denise was a dedicated Data Processor and was known for her love of reading and listening to music. She cherished her grandchildren deeply.

Denise was actively involved with Potter House and was a cherished friend to many. She is survived by her son, Nicholas Martin of St. Petersburg, FL; her brother, Thomas Piatt (Vickie) of Laurinburg, NC; her sister, Patricia Keller of Pataskla, OH; and her special lifelong friend, Christa Carver. She also leaves behind two stepchildren, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Piatt, along with sisters Barbara Livingston, LaVonne Bertolo, and Janie Monk. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends Friday, April 25, 2025, from 6 -8:00PM at D.W. Swick Funeral Home/ Wolfe- Nelson Chapel in Sciotoville. Memorial Service will be 8:00PM at the funeral home. Private interment at later date.
