Trecia Lynn Ashley, 67, of Portsmouth, passed away Sunday January 12, 2024 at Hill View Retirement Center. She was born February 3, 1957 in Rush, KY, a daughter of the late Howard and Marie (Rowe) Burton.

She was a member of Wings of Healing Worship Center, formerly worked at SOMC in Registration Shawnee Mental Health Center and the former Heartland of Portsmouth. She loved to collect Ceramic Dolls and Angels.

Trecia is survived by her husband, Gaylen Ashley; three daughters, Denise Ashley of West Portsmouth, Rebecca (Tony) Sowards of South Webster and Jessica (John) Buckler of Maysville, KY; a son, Matthew Allen; grandchildren, Nate, Landon, Christopher, Tyler, Joplin, Jaime, Kristin, Michael, Maddison, Caden, Eve, Emma, Samuel and Conner; great-grandchildren, Emma, Jersey, Holden, Bremlee, Lola, Atlas, Ryder, Riley and John: two brothers, Eddie (Carol) Burton of Tennesee and Hobert Estep of Cattletsburg, KY.

She was also preceeded in death by brothers, Jim, Gary, Bruce and Robert.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 17, 2025 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastor Chuck Holsinger officiating. Interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday and one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
