Obituary

Robert Troy Slack, 71, of South Webster passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 at his home. He was born June 7, 1939 on Railroad Hollow in South Webster, a son of the late William Eli and Ruth Marie Killen Slack. He was retired from self-employment as Slack's Refrigeration. He was a member of the Aurora Masonic lodge # 48 in Portsmouth, The Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati and was a 32nd Degree Mason. Troy was married March 16, 1966 to Glenda Sue Turner who preceded him in death on January 6, 1998. Troy is survived by two daughters, Tammy E. (Tom) Whitt of Lucasville and Joyce M. Sadler (Dennis) of South Webster; five grandchildren, Floyd E. Ward IV of Wheelersburg, Jacob Shepherd and Cheyenne (Shepherd) Jarrell of Lucasville and Coby and Alyssa Sadler of South Webster. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Elvin Guywood, William Junior, George Oliver and Douglas Troy; 1 sister, Betty Ann Sharp; 2 half-sisters, Mary Rawlins and Ruth Webb; 2 half-brothers, John and Harvey Slack; 2 grandchildren, David Eli Ward and Dakota Wayne Shepherd. Services will be 11 AM Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with burial at Scioto Furnace cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 6 to 8 PM with Masonic Rites at 7:30 PM and Tuesday 10 to 11 AM at D.W. Swick in South Webster. Condolences to dwswickfuneralhome.com
