Obituary

Velva Jean "Chattie" McGowan Queen, 67, of South Webster, died Tues. Nov. 12, 2013 at her home after a long illness. She was born June 19, 1946 a daughter of the late Roy Ray Queen and Dolly Elswick Queen. She is survived by 3 sons, Harold J. McGowan Jr., Kevin W. McGowan and Steven M. McGowan all of South Webster; 3 daughters, Emily Jean McGowan of South Webster, Loretta Sue Montalvo of Cleveland and Tammy Lynn McGowan of South Webster; 5 brothers, Michael D. Queen and Arnold L. Queen both of Portsmouth, Omar Baldridge of Wheelersburg, Raily Baldridge of Portsmouth and Glenn Baldridge of Germany; 2 sisters, Sharon Sue Howell of Minford, Cathy Baldridge of South Portsmouth, 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold McGowan; a daughter, Teresa Ann McGowan and 3 brothers, William "Jr." Ratliff, Keith Baldridge and Ronnie Queen. Services will be 2:00 PM Sat. Nov. 16, 2013 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN SOUTH WEBSTER with Pastor Ronnie Rawlins officiating. Interment will follow at Scioto Furnace cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 4 to 8 PM and Sat. 1 to 2 PM at D.W. SWICK IN SOUTH WEBSTER. Condolences to dwswickfuneralhome.com.
