Virgil Rollins, 76, of South Webster died Sat. August 14, 2010 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born January 22, 1934 in Wayland, KY., a son of the late Dahl and Violet Caldwell Rollins. He was a former bricksetter and had worked at the State Juvenile diagnostic Center in Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Marsha Messer Rollins; three sons, Densil Rawlins of South Webster, Adrian Rawlins of Chillicothe and Chris Rollins of South Webster; five daughters, Sherry Pitts of Winter Haven, FL., Paula Khan of Columbus, Jo Miller of Ashville, Sandra Reedy of Marengo and Missy Poole of Ft. Dix, NJ.; 6 sisters, Patsy Collins of So. Shore, KY., Shelby Goble of Ypsilanti, MI., Madeline Miller and Sharon Evans both of Columbus, Carolyn Blevins of Portsmouth and Jewel Reed of South Webster; one brother, Lester Rawlins of Deltona, FL., 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Services will be 2 PM Wed., Aug. 18, 2010 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with Cline McAllister officiating.
