Age 95 of Wheelersburg, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Hillview Retirement Community in Portsmouth.  She was born in Scioto County on October 26, 1921 to John "Ollie" and Sarah (Pelfrey) Skaggs.  Vivian was the first cheerleader at South Webster High School and was always a Jeep.  She was the owner and operator of Jenkins Market, a retail grocery store in Scioto Furnace.  Vivian loved to sew, was very friendly, and always welcomed everyone into her home.  She loved life and had a smile for everyone.  She was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church in Wheelersburg.

Vivian is survived by daughter, Sherry Canter of Wheelersburg and daughter and son-in-law, Donna and John Watkins of Wheelersburg; daughters by choice, Harveena Fenton and Lynn Hall; grandchildren, Trent (Tina) Canter, Chad (Ellisha) Canter, Casey (Scott) Lewis, Andy (Amanda) Watkins, Mark (Gina) Watkins; great-grandchildren, Warren Lewis, Tori, Bryson, Dru, and Brady Canter, Rowdy, Cody, Cash, and Clara Watkins; sisters-in-law, Helen and Evelyne Jenkins of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; brothers, Sterling and Truman Skaggs, sisters, Hildreth Hinze and Imale Mcguire.

The family would like thank the entire staff of the third floor at Hillview for the compassionate care they provided. Donations may be made to St. Peter Cemetery Fund or Hillview Retirement Center.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church in Wheelersburg with Father Joseph Yokum officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.  Friends may call from 5 – 7 p.m. on Sunday at D.W.
