Walter G. Hamilton,

Age 77 of South Webster, passed away Tuesday July 5, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 22, 1939 in Scioto County, a son of the late John Hamilton and Mary Edith Yeley (Granny) Walls. Walt was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and retired in 1998 as General Foreman with Martin Marietta Corporation. He was a 1957 graduate of South Webster High School, attended North Moreland Christian Baptist Church, and loved being on Walt's Mountain where he spent time with his family. He also loved cutting grass and watching sports.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ramsey Hamilton whom he married on July 2, 1959; five daughters, #1 Vickie (Rick) Corriell of Wheelersburg, #2 Sheila (Wade) Ramey, #3 Anita Gale Puckett, #4 Kimberly (Scottie) Scott and #5 Jennifer (Ryan) Hagen, all of South Webster; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 9, 2016 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastor Paul Hagen officiating. Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery with Graveside Military Honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be Friday 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 12 to 1 p.m. at the funeral Home.
