Wanda Schisler, 68, resident of Decatur, TN, formerly of Sciotoville, passed away August 8, 2009, at her residence. Born in Portsmouth, Wan graduated from East High School in 1959 and had resided in Bradley and Meigs County, TN for the past 31 years. She was of the Baptist faith and graduated from McKenzie College as a Medical Assistant. Wan worked in the medical field for many years. Most notably, Wan was a lifelong dedicated wife and mother who will truly be missed by her husband, children, sisters, grandchildren, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norma and Theodore Withrow, and her brother, Jerry Withrow. Wan is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Roy Schisler of Decatur, TN; two children, Kenneth (Michelle) Schisler and Schansa (Chip) Davis; five grandchildren, Austin and Preston Schisler, and Kolo, Liv, and Ava Davis; two sisters, Phyllis Willard of Wheelersburg, OH, and Barbara Stevens of Portsmouth, OH; several nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2009, at the Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville, with Pastor Seth Waggoner officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
