Wesley Eugene Loper, Jr., 70, of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, passed away on March 16, 2026, at Grant Hospital- OhioHealth in Columbus, Ohio. Born, April 25, 1955, son of the late Wesley and Aneita Loper.
Wesley was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished time spent with his family. He will be remembered for his love, strength, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lulu Mae Loper; his daughters, Emma Mollohan of Columbus, Hannah McManee of Columbus, and Corrina Loschiavo (Sam Converse) of Columbus; and his son, Larry Caldwell (Veronica) of South Webster; his sister, Brenda Dell Campbell of Columbus
Wesley also leaves behind his grandchildren: Ronnie Loschiavo (Erin) of Columbus, Garrett Caldwell, currently serving in the U.S. Army, Gavin Caldwell of Columbus, Johnny Conley of Portsmouth, Tiff Gladman (Lt. Shultz) of South Webster, and Layken Caldwell of Portsmouth.
He was a proud great-grandfather to Hunter Loschiavo, River Loschiavo, Koi Loschiavo, and Ariel Loschiavo, all of Columbus, and Ryker Gladman of South Webster. He is also survived by his favorite niece and secretary, Lille Elizabeth Clarke of South Webster, and his nephew, Cody Converse of Columbus.
Wesley was preceded in death by his Parents; Sisters, Debra Converse and Christine Loper; Grandparents, George and Thelma Loper; Uncle, William Loper; Aunt, Barbara Newell.
Wesley will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2026, D.W. Swick & Son Funeral and Cremation Services in South Webster, with Mary Hughes officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 23, 2026, 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, March 25, 2026, 12 NOON at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens Cemetery, 5802 Elder Road, Canal Winchester, Ohio.
