William H. Gruber, 71 went to his Heavenly home on June 23, 2012. He was born Jan. 23, 1941 to the late Clarence and Alice Gruber of Jackson, Ohio. He was a devoted member of the South Webster Baptist Church. He made his living as a truck driver and a bus driver for South Webster Schools for many years. Because of his love of South Webster, he enjoyed watching and supporting the Jeeps basketball team. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Beulah M. (Baker) Gruber whom he married on Sept. 21, 1963; two brothers, three sisters; a granddaughter, Sandra Maelyn Marsh and son-in-law, Ira Marsh. He is survived by a sister, Regina Ratliff; four children, Tom Gruber of South Webster, Sandra Marsh of West Portsmouth, Melissa (Mike) Tilley of Wheelersburg and Clarence Gruber of West Portsmouth. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, J.D. (Shannon) Conley and their children, Mikayla, Damien and Stephanie Gruber, Bradley Marsh and his daughter Janecca, Amanda Gruber, Courtney Lawson, Mikey, William, Annalee Tilley; two loving daughters-in-laws, Kim Gruber and Teresa Lawson. Services will be 2 PM Wed. June 27, 2012 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with Rev. Cline Rawlins officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 6 to 8 PM and Wed. 1 to 2 PM at D.W.
