William P. Henderson, 78, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday April 10, 2024. He was born June 9, 1945 in Springfield, OH, a son of the late William M. Henderson and Annabel L. (Williams) Henderson.

Bill was retired from International Harvester after 43 years service. He was an avid archer, enjoyed fishing and was a big time hunter. He loved to come to Scioto County and sit on Corky's front porch and see who could tell the biggest lie, "Bill said Corky always won".

He is survived by his wife, Paulette (Caudill) Henderson; a son, Glen Dale Barlowe of Springfield; a daughter, Elizabeth Barlow Martin and husband Warren of Minford; a sister, Debbie Collins and husband Jerrold of Orlando, FL; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and his best friend Ron Scaggs.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Paris and Maxine Caudill and a sister in-law, Lois Diane Caudill.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday April 15, 2024 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME ( Wolfe-Nelson Chapel) in Sciotoville with Brian Enz officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 AM to 1 PM prior to services on Monday.
