William Winton Patrick, 71, of New Boston went to be with the Lord on Feb. 23, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 52 yrs., Emma Meyers Patrick. They have four children, Billie (Tom) Potter of Garrison, KY. and their children, Tommy Potter Jr. and Chandra Darling; Linda (Keith) Powell of West Portsmouth and her children, Shannon (Steve) Preston, Robert (Jay) Kirsch, Serina Howard; Brian Patrick of Warren and his children, Brian Michael, Amanda and Mason. Madonna (Charles) Matthews of San Diego, CA. and their children, Heidi Matthews, Emma (Edd) Hunt, Charles Matthews Jr. and William Matthews. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren. Bill was the son of the late Elmer Patrick and Mabel Aeh Patrick. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joan Patrick. Nicknamed "Wild Bill" for his love of racing cars, boats and motorcycles. He was a former President of the Portsmouth Motorcycle Club where he was an honorary member for over 45 years. He also was a member of the Bikers for Christ, a Gideon and a Singing Evangelist. Both he and his wife attended the Unity Full Gospel Fellowship on Pine Street in New Boston. Bill was the true meaning of a salesman. He sold insurance for Prudential Insurance Company of America. He was honored many times for his excellence in sales and retired after 33 years of service. He and his wife were the owners of "Bill & Emma's Custom Signs" in New Boston. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 at Unity Full Gospel Fellowship with with Brother Roy Bennett officiating. Burial will be at South Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston and 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the church.
