Age 83 of Wheelersburg passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at his home.  He was born May 6, 1933 in Kensit, Arkansas to Alvia and Coralee (Winters) Shaw.  A graduate of Findlay High School, William served his country honorably as a Sargent in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War era.  He was a truck driver by profession and a lifetime member of the DAV and VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Ineke Shaw; daughters, Wendy of Findley and Kimberly of Cincinnati; sister, Dorothy (Clay) Zecker of FL; grandchildren, Tom, Bob, Olivia, Avi, and Shai.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at South Webster Cemetery with military rites provided by James Dickey Post #23, American Legion.  Arrangements are being handled by D.W Swick-Nelson Funeral Home in South Webster.  Online condolences may be left at www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com.
