Woodrow Edward Gilmore, 82 of Wheelersburg, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Concord Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wheelersburg. He was born, May 20, 1932 in Christiansburg, VA, the son of the late, Trigg and Maurine Wirt Gilmore. Woody was an Air Force veteran and had retired from Ashland Oil in Dayton, OH, where he was a Supervisor.

Woody is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Brinegar Reed Gilmore, of Wheelersburg; 3 step children; one brother, Steve Gilmore and one sister, Betty Brown both of Portsmouth and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, with interment in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 until the funeral hour on Monday. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to SOMC Hospice Center for their great care.
