Zelma Louise Morgan
Age 95 of Wheelersburg, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at her home. She was born in Sciotoville on December 31, 1920 to Harry and Laura (Presley) Schomburg. She was a homemaker who along with her husband, Charles, raised 8 children. For 30 years Zelma was an advisor to 4H groups, was an avid bird watcher and Reds fan, and was a member of the Vernon and Porter Township Senior Citizens groups. She attended the Lily Chapel Church of Christ.
Zelma is survived by five sons, Charles (Rena) Morgan of Arcanum, Joe (Ruth) Morgan of Lakeland, FL, Dale (Connie) Morgan of Wauseon, James (Lucy) Morgan of Johnstown, Bill (Pam) Morgan of Mt. Sterling; two daughters, Virginia Hipwell (Donald) of Fenwick, Ontario, Kathy Carroll (Craig) of Mt. Sterling; daughter-in-law, Sharon Morgan of Mt. Sterling; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; 8 step-great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Morgan, Jr.; son, Keith Morgan; sisters, Edna Moore, Irene Grimm, Darlene Adams; brothers, Oscar, Harold, Carl, Leroy Schomburg; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Lily Chapel Church of Christ in Wheelersburg with Pastor Mike Lemon officiating. Interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Wheelersburg. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 – 7 p.m. at D.W. Swick-Nelson Funeral Home in South Webster and one hour before the service at the church.
