Marie Gail Smith, 76, of Wheelersburg , passed away August 26, 2024 at the home of her son in Kettering. She was born February 26, 1948 in Matewan, WV, a daughter of the late Kernie and Minnie Marie (Burton) Slone.

She was formerly a sales clerk and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, taking pictures, shopping and enjoyed going to pageants with Olivia.

Gail is survived by two sons, Brian Smith and wife Christal of Kettering  and Michael Smith of Gallipolis; a daughter, Faith Wright and husband Jeremy of Wheelersburg; two brothers, James Slone and wife Rosemary of South Webster and David Slone and wife Sandy of Clarktown; a sister, Loraine Lewis of Lucasville; grandchildren, Michael, Tiffani, Brittany, Kayla, Audrey, Tyler, Alivia , Emily and 13 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert M. Smith; brothers, Johnny, Everett, Eugene, Robert and an infant brother.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday August 29, 2024 at Lucasville Church of God with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Scioto Burial Park. Visitation will be 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg and 10 to 11 AM Thursday at the church.
